Things To Do When Staying At Cobleland: The William Wallace Monument

The William Wallace Monument is just 30 minutes from the site, in Stirling. It is a 220 foot sandstone tower, built in the Victorian Gothic style. The tower is open to the public for an admission fee. The monument itself is situated in an elevated position, upon entry there are 246 steps to the final observation platform, with three exhibition rooms within the body of the tower. The views from the observation platform are well worth the walk and rival some of the tallest hills and mountains in the National Park.

There is also a hall of Scottish Heroes and Heroines dedicated to famous Scots within the tower.
